Mobile health clinics

Lalganj, Bihar — January 2023. Full-day rural camp: consultations, vitals and screening for villagers of every age.

Patna, Bihar — September 2022. Blood testing and reports for people who would otherwise pay a day’s wage to reach a lab.

Munger, Bihar — April 2023. Device-based vitals monitoring alongside blood tests, with records kept for follow-up.

A case study

Same worker, same conditions — two very different journeys

Suresh Mahto, 41, is a colliery transport worker from Jharia in Dhanbad district — wife, three children, an elderly mother. In the journey his community knows too well, a persistent cough gets ignored: the doctor is far, the visit costs a day’s wage. By the time chest pain forces a long trip to the district hospital, the tuberculosis is advanced, the infection has reached his wife, both are too weak to work, and the family is borrowing money against a collapsing income.

With doorstep care the same story runs differently. A screening visit reaches the mining colony in week one; vitals and a respiratory check flag early-stage TB. Digital reports and a teleconsultation confirm it in week three, and treatment starts with proper guidance — nutrition and therapy advice for the whole family. Follow-ups keep the treatment on track while Suresh continues light work safely; monitoring covers his wife and children.

Continuous monitoring and doorstep medicine delivery prevent complications: no emergency admission, no long hospitalisation, up to 70% saved in travel and treatment costs — and a household that stays on its feet, physically and financially.
