Emetic, purgative, alterative, diuretic, tonic

Traditionally used for female complaints, bowel and kidney troubles. It increases the flow of urine - useful for dropsy. Also good for asthma, stomach troubles, and scrofulous conditions of the bladder. It is an effective remedy for gallstones.
