Jeera rice is a famous Indian meal made by combining basmati rice, cumin seeds (jeera), and a variety of aromatic spices. It's a savory and fragrant rice dish that goes well with curries, dals (lentil dishes), or grilled meats and vegetables.

Ingredients

1 cup of rice
2 tablespoon of ghee
2 table spoon of coriander leaves (Dhaniya), chopped
4 cup of water
2 green cardamom (Hari elaichi/chotti elaichi)
1 black cardamom (Kali elaichi/ badhi elaichi)
½ inch of cinnamon (Dalchini)
2 cloves (laung)
Salt as required
2 teaspoon of cumin seeds (Jeera)
1 green chilli, chopped

Procedure

Soak the rice for 30 minutes, then drain water and keep aside.
Boil water; add the spices, salt, and rice to it.
Simmer the rice on low flame.
Once cooked drain the water and keep aside.
You can rinse them with normal water if wish to.
Now, heat oil in a pan.
Add jeera and let it crackle.
Then add green chilli, stir for a minute
Mix tempering to the hot rice.
Add coriander and mix gently.
